Has two GriGri+ devices and likes them, formerly their go-to indoors, though they now prefer a Click Up personally.

Guides with a GriGri+ and finds belaying far smoother than other GriGri models, but despises the anti-panic function for rappelling and lowering on thick ropes.
Uses mainly a GriGri+ and can hook their fat fingers on its edge just like the GriGri 2.
Really likes the GriGri+: it takes their 8.5 mm rope, and the steel wear plates should last longer in sandy desert climbing.
Owns both and loves the GriGri+: wider rope range and auto-brake, with a noticeable top-rope/lead switch.
The GriGri+ lip is so small they fumbled paying out slack quickly far more than with their GriGri 2.
Keeps their GriGri+ in lead mode because the mode button is a pain to press.
The GriGri+ anti-panic feature takes a few months to get used to and is annoying when lowering lighter climbers.
Tried a GriGri+ at their gym and it locked up every time.
Tested their GriGri+ with a backup knot numerous times: it does not lock if you pull hard on the lever in either mode.
Their partner and they hated the Ohm with the GriGri+: too much friction and the GriGri+ locked all the time.
The GriGri+ anti-panic feature is super annoying; the new GriGri now has the Plus's better internals anyway.
The GriGri+ is great for top roping and fine for lead, but lowering with their 10.1 mm rope isn't smooth.
Lowered with a GriGri+ once by accident and found the added friction annoying and not smooth.
Belays frequently with both and prefers the GriGri+'s smaller thumb rest; the autoblock is great for lowering much heavier people.
Finds the GriGri+ super annoying: pays out slack worse and the panic lock when lowering is a pain.
Working in gyms when the GriGri+ came out was a nightmare: tricky to lead belay with and quite annoying.
Uses a GriGri+ in top-rope mode, which helps the slippage problem.
Owns a GriGri+ and enjoys it: lead mode cams noticeably less, and paying out slack is smooth once learned.
Teaches with the GriGri+ and finds it excellent for beginners, though lowering is fussier than older GriGris.
Bought the GriGri+ to teach their brother to belay at the crag; the anti-panic saved them from a possible accident.
Likes their GRIGRI +: the stainless plates should wear less than the GRIGRI 2's aluminium, and the top-rope and lead modes are nice.
Tried the new GRIGRI + for lead rope soloing: fine in normal use, but it took almost the whole cache loop to engage, and with the assist on it caught instantly but made feeding slack nearly impossible one-handed, so they returned it.
“it did fine when used normally, only problem is it would take almost the whole length of the cache loop before engaging.”
