Their Arpia Vs dug painfully into their heels and toes until broken in, and the rubber is nearly worn through after about 40 hours in 3 weeks.
Three months in, loving the Arpia V: little stretch, a comfy microfibre liner, full-length XS Grip 2 for great smearing, balanced stiffness, though little high rubber limits steep climbing.
First pair Arpia V: toe box fits perfectly, but the upper stretched a lot and the heel has dead space and feels insecure on hard heel hooks.
Their Arpia V in 41 (street 42) has a loose heel.
Their Arpia V with XS Grip 2 wore down pretty fast, lasting only a year climbing once a week.
Had a pair of Arpias before switching to the Veloce, which they find a much better shoe.
After the VSR, the Arpia V felt much more comfortable, but it was more slippery, their foot slipped out on heel hooks, and it started hurting a little too.
Loves the Arpia V as their second pair: comfortable as hell and still performs well; resoled twice and fine.
Their first shoe, the Arpia V, has been awesome: comfy enough to wear all day and a solid all-rounder for bouldering, rope and outdoor sport.
Tried about 20 shoes and bought the Arpia V as by far the most comfortable, but after an hour's session the knuckle of their long fourth toe was really hurting.
