Breaking in the Generator Mid at the gym: the heel is too tight at the top but loose at the bottom, but the toe box is lovely for medium-wide Greek feet.
Wears the same size in their Generator Mids as their VSRs and uses them in the Gunks.
The Generator Mid is fine if it fits and you aren't going into thin cracks: good edging, and better than TC Pros for a small person; wears them a lot for all-day rambling.
Their Generator Mids are probably the best edging shoes Scarpa makes right now, but heavy, hot and clunky feeling.
Switched from Mythos to Generator Mids for crack climbing and is pretty happy, though they're about as stiff as TC Pros.
Their Generator Mids stretched about half an EU size, going from moderately uncomfortable to comfortable enough to wear all day instead of just 60 minutes.
After nearly a decade and 20+ shoe models, the Generator Mid is perfect for their wide feet; one of the few heels that isn't baggy on them.
Went to buy TC Pros but left with Generator Mids because they fit better; has been happy with them.
Climbs in the Generator Mid at Squamish: great for foot jams, edges and smearing, though not the best for really small finger cracks.
Loves the Generator Mid: much less clunky than TC Pros and climbs harder in it than in any of the four or five other high-top shoes they've owned.
“Personally, I find them a lot less clunky than TCs and am comfortable climbing quite a bit harder in them than in any of the other 4-5 styles of high tops I've owned.”
Wears the Generator Mid in 47 for all-day comfort; can squeeze into a TC Pro 46 but it is less fun.
