Went with the Veloce Lace for a small heel; not perfect, but the lacing can be adjusted to pull the heel tighter.

The Veloce Lace two sizes under street fits their wide Roman foot with small heel better than the Velcro version.

positive

A beginner who chose the laced version because the velcro one felt flimsy and insecure on their wide, high-instep foot; loves them and thinks they are worth the extra cost over beginner shoes.

“I went for the laced version, my foot is wide with a high bridge. The velcro strap version felt really flimsy and did not keep my foot secure in the shoe.”
positivecomfortable

Amazingly comfortable with very sticky rubber, but the heel stretched a lot and the rubber wore quickly; would size half down. Still unbeatable as a comfy warm-up shoe.

“I bought a pair of these last year. Amazingly comfortable and the rubber was exactly as he describes. However, I wish I had bought at least half a size smaller”

Calls the Veloce Lace the best climbing shoe ever and the only one that fits their feet; the laces dial in the fit and the very grippy rubber lets them stand on volumes and smear on slabs.

“I have the scarpa Veloce lace and they are the best climbing shoe ever, it is the only climbing shoe that fits my wide and skinny feet.”

Owned the strap Veloce, which didn't suit their large feet; finds the Veloce Lace a superior shoe with softer inner padding.

“I own the old Veloce with the strap and loved them however the strap system was not great for my foot size. The Veloce Lace are just a superior shoe.”
positivecomfortable

Enjoying the Veloce Lace; the heel was close to really good but bagged out a bit over time, and they think they should have sized down.

Uses Veloce Laces as a comfortable pair for warm-ups and climbs that don't need intense heel or toe hooking.

positivecomfortable

The Veloce is their volume shoe; now in the lace version 1.5 EU sizes down, wearable for over an hour as a performance-comfort fit.

positivecomfortable

Wears the Veloce Lace a half size down from Instincts: very tight at first but so soft they break in easily.

positiveneeds break-in

Veloce Lace is very comfortable and the best fit so far for their wide feet and narrow heel.

A 100 kg climber on V5–V7 indoors finds the Veloce lace incredibly good at smearing; the laces and longer midsole let it stand on almost any gym hold, and only the smallest holds make them want a stiffer shoe.

“I'm a 100kg guy climbing V5-V7 indoors in the current Veloce Lace. It's incredibly good at smearing”

Has climbed in the Veloce Lace for a year and calls it probably the best indoor shoe they've used: the S-72 rubber is incredible and has held up well; only a better heel would make it perfect.

“I've been climbing in the Veloce Lace for the last year and it's probably the best indoor shoe I've ever used. The S-72 rubber is incredible and has actually held up pretty well”
