Sees the Shaman Trance as a best-of-both between the Shaman and Shaman Pro, with more precision than either but less than Italian brands; likes Evolv's new rubber.
“Trance is halfway between the shaman pro and shaman in the “best of both” way. More precision than either of those two, but still less than the Italian brands.”
Wears the Shaman Trance in the same size as their Shaman 2S and Phantom Pro; the Trance is narrower up front, more tensioned at the heel and stiffer than the 2S.
“Trance is more narrow in the front than the 2S, and a little more tensioned in the heel/achilles and is a stiffer shoe.”
Had heel dead space in the Shaman 2S; the Shaman Trance fixed it.
Wears the Shaman Trance as their main shoe: brutal for the first two sessions despite feeling perfect in the shop, now comfortable for 30–45 minutes though still very snug at the toe knuckles.
“The pair I'm wearing now felt *perfect* when I tried them on sitting down, but were brutal to walk or climb in for the first 2 sessions.”
Tried the Shaman Trance and found it fit pretty decently, though still with a heel bubble; half a size down might have been better.
