The Butora Gomi is literally the only shoe that fits their feet after trying many at REI.
Their Butora Gomis are a go-to indoor shoe.
The Butora Gomi fits their Greek, medium-wide foot with a small heel perfectly, and hurts their big toe less than the VSR LV.
Has worn Gomis: they don't edge well, but most indoor footholds are big enough that they're fine for indoor bouldering.
Loved their Butora Gomis as a first more aggressive shoe.
Wears the Gomi (wide): hard to get on and off, but the heel stays put and the wide toe box with slight downturn leaves their toes much less cramped than Vapor Vs.
The Butora Gomi LV works well for their wider forefoot and small heels.
The Butora Gomi literally hugs their feet; you can feel the air push out when putting them on.
With low-volume feet, has really good luck with the Gomi as a softer bouldering shoe.
Butora Gomi worked well for their small, wide, high-instep feet; the split opening lets you get toes in.
Liked the Gomi a lot, but it softened so much over time in the midfoot that it wasn't stable for edging and they had to switch shoes; the wide version fit their size-15 feet better than most aggressive shoes.
Picked up the Gomi in street size and was impressed out of the box: easy to get on, secure without pain, sensitive, with a fit reminiscent of the old 5.10 Dragon; only one foot slip in about eight days of climbing.
Their Gomis broke in well and lasted about ten months at 2-3 days a week before wearing through at the big toes; worth trying.
Loves their Gomis and is on a second pair after four pairs of the Narsha before it; fits true to street size, a touch snugger than Scarpa Instincts.
Loves their Gomis; being synthetic and rubber-wrapped they don't really break in, but they became comfortable enough to wear through most of a long boulder session.
Their Gomis fit fine out of the box in street size and can be worn for extended periods.
A month into their Gomis, which felt good out of the box, one foot cramps after about seven minutes on a route.
Finds the Gomi barely moves, 0-0.25 sizes at most, so it should fit right out of the box.
With an extremely narrow and shallow heel, the Gomi fits slightly better than the Indalo, though the Indalo toe-hooks marginally better; both are great shoes.
Uses the Gomi as their daily shoe after other Butoras; great for wide feet, more comfortable for extended wear, with Neo Fuse rubber that sticks to almost anything; sized half up from street.
Had Gomis sized up half a size and they were still snug and never stretched, but it was a great shoe.
Their Gomis are a full US size above street size and took a few tries to get right, but they love them now.
Got the Gomi in street size and found it super painful; trying a full size up, and frustrated by Butora's exchange-only policy.
Has worn the Gomis for over 1.5 years bouldering V3-5 indoors and loves the stickiness and heel cup.
Bought the Gomi direct from Butora; it's a little tight and painful, they couldn't reach customer support to exchange, and fear the synthetic shoe won't break in enough.
Downsized half a size in the Gomi; comfortable everywhere except the toes, which are very scrunched and painful under pressure.
Wears the Gomi consistently as their aggressive pair and loves it; the tightness and precision stand out when trying hard.
The Butora Gomi low volume works wonders for their tall, narrow foot; the only shoe that has ever fit.
With a wide forefoot and narrow heel, their wide Butora Gomis are the first shoe to really fit like a glove.
Loved the Gomi (wide) for indoor climbing: soft, great for smearing, with excellent toe and heel hooks thanks to the rubber coverage and the best-fitting heel of their shoes; the round toe box made edging on small feet less confident, and the lining felt a bit abrasive. Would buy again in a smaller size.
Rates the Gomi 7/10: similar fit and purpose to their favourite Mad Rock D2.1 with a slightly wider forefoot, but slightly worse in every way, with a coarser lining, a strap that secures less well, a bit more heel wiggle, and it dyes the foot black.
Climbed in their Gomis a good while: stretch a little, hard wearing even on rough gym walls.
Loves their Gomis while climbing, but can't keep them on long and they roast their feet in sun or heat.
First climb in new Butora Gomis: the grip is incredible for barrel work.
After returning 4 shoes for heel fit, finally got the wide-fit Gomi.
After heel space in Vapor Vs, they wear Butora Gomis now and it's so much better.
Likes Butora; wears the Gomi HV.
With flat feet, wide toe box and shallow heel, Gomis are their favourite so far.
On their third pair of Gomi LVs; they fit like a glove and finally solve their heel-fit problems.
Their Gomi is softer than their other shoes, but the heel isn't as good.
Their Butora Gomi has been incredible on fit, friction and edging, with a great heel fit; a bit softer than XS Grip 2.
Was given an old pink Butora Gomi and the heel cup is tiny, the smallest they've come across.
Has the Gomi and it's actually one of the widest, baggiest heels of all the shoes they regularly wear.
Says Gomis fit like a glove with great heel adjustment and stick to anything; the only con is the rubber wears out fast.
Loves their Gomis for overhangs and smearing, with great toe and heel hooks, but they're very soft and feel bad edging on slab.
Butora Gomi in the narrow fit is their forever shoe for now.
Has long, narrow feet and the Butora Gomi fits them well, though they downsize more than friends with wider feet.
Had early delamination on their Gomis and needed a resole after 2-3 months, but still loves them and would buy again.
Has Butora Gomis and loves them: flexible enough to feel and grasp the rock with their toes through the sole.
Butora Gomis fit their big toe well.
Rates the Gomi 8/10 for indoor bouldering: lots of toe hook rubber that bites wherever they slap a foot, but not as sensitive as the Tenaya Oasi.
“I could slap my feet wherever and in whatever orientation blindly and still get some bite from the rubber. I score this lower than the Tenaya Oasi because it's not as sensitive as that shoe”
Bought the narrow-fit Gomi, sized down more than usual since it stretches a lot, and finds its heel fits better than the Acro Comp's.
“I recently bought the narrow fit gomi (the pink one) and downsized more than usual because those shoes stretch a lot. The heel fits better than the acro comp.”
Has been very happy with the Butora Gomi after struggling to find an aggressive shoe that was sticky, good on micro feet and heel hooks, and wearable for long periods.
